🌙 The Significance of Maha Shivaratri

“Maha” means great and “Ratri” means night.

Maha Shivaratri is known as the Great Night of Lord Shiva.

It is believed that on this night: Lord Shiva appeared as the Shiva Linga - Shiva and Shakti united in perfect balance.

Prayers offered during the night bring peace and clarity to the mind. For this reason, night worship holds special importance on Shivaratri.

📖 A Short Shivaratri Story

According to tradition, a hunter once spent the night awake in a forest, unknowingly offering Bilva leaves onto a Shiva Linga beneath a tree. Though he did not perform any formal rituals, his sincere actions pleased Lord Shiva.

This story reminds us that true devotion comes from sincerity and intention, not from elaborate rituals.
